The Story
How Audrey Got Here
Audrey started martial arts in 1992 with Guy Mezger and hasn't taken a break since. She earned her brown belt in 1997, her black belt in the summer of 1999, and now holds a 4th degree black belt in Chung Do Kwan with over two decades of teaching experience.
Her competitive résumé spans three sports. In boxing: 3× Dallas Golden Gloves Champion, 2010 National Golden Gloves Champion, 2010 Ringside National Champion, and a #5 US ranking by USA Boxing in 2011. In kickboxing she was the 2002 #1 contender for the TKO US Women's Welterweight title. In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — a brown belt under Keiser Girao (Checkmat) — she won NAGA World Championships seven years running (2011–2017), the 2015 IBJJF No-Gi Pan-American title, and the 2012 Abu Dhabi Pro Trials absolute division.
Her greatest pride lies in her students. She teaches children as young as three and adults of any age, and helped found a martial arts program for children in wheelchairs in 2001. If you're nervous to walk in the door, Audrey's class is where that ends.
Favorite class to teach: Beginner kickboxing — watching nervous first-timers find their power.
